 When John M. Sadler went for a soda at the Five and Dime store in Columbia, SC in 1957, he had no idea what a chance meeting with an old friend and local baseball coach would have in store for his agency. A one team baseball policy in SC has expanded to all 50 states and over 5000 leagues in the teams sports as well as thousands of recreational policies such as hunting, canoeing, archery, personal training, health clubs, short term special events and entertainers & performers. Â
In 1989, John M. Sadler, Jr. became president of Sadler & Company. After graduating from the University of South Carolina, Magna Cum Laude, with degrees in Insurance and Finance in 1983, John continued his education at the School of Law, graduating in 1986, in order to gain a better knowledge of the legal system that his insureds would find themselves in in the event of a claim. Sadler has put his insurance, legal, as well as the designation of Certified Insurance Counselor to great use by serving as a nationally recognized risk manager for over ten national sports organizations.

John Sadler designed and teaches courses in risk management and sports insurance to hundreds of recreation professionals each year as the national sports insurance and risk management faculty member for the National Alliance for Youth Sports (NAYS) division National Youth Sports Administrators Association (NYSAA.)
